ETRUSCAN RED-FIGURED PLATE, 7TH CENTURY B.C.
Etruscan plate, Etruria, first half of the 7th century B.C. decorated with 6 herons all around the plate, heads turned right. The left space is filled with concentric red circles. The center is ornated with a 8 rays star. THe interior of the plate is painted with circles and bands. Two suspension holes are situated on the edge.
This type of plate was widely spread thoughout Italy and Sicily.
Comes with a TL test and an export passport.
