CORINTHIAN PYXIS, EARLY 6TH CENTURY B.C.
Very nice pyxis, powder-pyxis type, the fitting lid has a molded top edge. The lower portion, in beige terracotta and concave edges, is equipped with a small edge forming a pedestal. The lid is painted with concentric circles and geometrical patterns in red-orange and brown.
Rare form of the Corinthian period around 600-570 B.C.
