GNATHIAN LEKYTHOS, 4TH CENTURY B.C.
Beautiful gnathian lekythos, decorated with a head of a satyre, framed with two vertial lines of pampre. The details of his face and hairs are painted in yellow.
The neck and the top part of the body are ornated with little waves, dots, meanders and stripes whicha re also painted in yellow and white. The rest of the body is covered with a nice shiny black glaze.
Greek art, 4th century B.C.
